The Dundee Master Wing: A Refined East Boise Renovation Rooted in Quiet Luxury

Boise Master Suite Renovation | A Study in Structure, Restraint, and Livable Luxury

Not all renovations begin with demolition. Some begin with stillness—with a desire for clarity, refinement, and rhythm.
The Dundee Master Suite Wing, located in East Boise, is the result of more than two years of slow, intentional design.
From the initial vision to the final finishes, this project was shaped by patience and purpose—an approach that defines Aisling Designs’ ethos across every Boise interior design project. The existing wing was fragmented and dimly lit, its layout a patchwork of prior renovations that lacked hierarchy and coherence. Our clients came to us not seeking trend, but transformation. They wanted a master suite that would feel serene, proportioned, and built to last—not just in materials, but in meaning.

A Space Reimagined from the Inside Out

From the start, this project called for more than surface-level edits. We restructured the architectural plan, repositioning doorways, refining circulation, and introducing visual axes that allow light and sightlines to flow without interruption.
Spaces that once felt disconnected now move with ease, transitioning from dressing room to sleeping quarters to a spa-like bath in a single, uninterrupted gesture.

Every line was considered. Every wall had intention. The result is a layout that feels almost inevitable—an architectural rhythm that reflects Aisling Designs’ signature approach to tailored, structure-led interiors.
This level of reworking is typical of our full-service design process, where spatial clarity and custom detailing take priority over surface styling.

This serene sitting nook layers warmth and architectural depth—cane-back chairs, wide-plank flooring, and a vintage fireplace surround soften the crisp geometry of full-height millwork and the symmetry of black French doors. A quiet moment of balance within the Dundee Master Suite.

Material Language and Layered Restraint

This home did not call for bold statements—it asked for quiet conviction. We responded with a palette rooted in natural finishes:
lime-washed plaster, limestone tile, custom oak cabinetry, and aged brass fixtures that age gracefully over time.

The bath was designed as a tonal retreat, anchored by a freestanding tub placed beneath a skylight and framed by soft plaster walls.
Custom vanities, integrated lighting, and sculptural mirrors reflect light in thoughtful ways—creating softness through architectural form,
not excessive styling.

No Farrow & Ball was used here, a deliberate choice that reflects the project’s material authenticity. Instead, walls were hand-finished using natural texture to create depth and light interplay. The warmth of textiles—wool rugs, linen drapery, layered bedding—softens
the architectural clarity without disrupting it.

Each decision reinforces our belief that interiors should feel built, not decorated—a principle seen throughout our Boise renovation projects.

Design for the Long View
The Dundee Master Wing doesn’t follow a style—it follows a rhythm. Everything here was selected with longevity in mind.
The design language leans into timeless proportion, textural contrast, and functional elegance. Rather than using décor to define the space,
we used architecture—shadow lines, material transitions, custom thresholds—to do the storytelling.

It’s a space that invites presence, rather than performance.

This is how we define quiet luxury at Aisling Designs: edited, deeply livable, and personal. Not every project takes two years—but every project deserves the same rigor and restraint.
