The Project

This home’s great room centers on a soaring vaulted ceiling of tongue-and-groove wood and exposed beams, with a stone fireplace flanked by built-in bookcases. Cream and tan leather seating, a glass coffee table, and a jute rug keep the space light beneath the wood ceiling, while a round table and black windsor chairs beneath a black chandelier anchor the dining area, both rooms opening onto tall windows framing the trees outside.

A sunroom off the main living space continues the wood-plank ceiling and beam detail, furnished with a round white table and woven green chairs beside an antique piano. In the kitchen, existing oak cabinetry and stainless appliances were styled with a white subway tile backsplash and black caged pendants, while upstairs the bedrooms carry mini chandeliers and a soft green-and-cream palette, and the finished basement adds a guest room and studio space.
