Assemble Hospitality

1502 W Franklin sits inside one of Boise’s storied 19th-century homes, originally built by a noted local architect and reimagined by Aisling Designs as a boutique hospitality concept. This was a full-service build from the ground up — Aisling Designs designed the floor plan and layout for the entire house, served as general contractor on the project, and selected every finish throughout.

Each guest room is named for a physicist who changed how we understand the world — Einstein, Newton, Oppenheimer, Feynman, Dirac, Bohr, Galileo, Edison, and Carruthers among them. Rather than lean on the obvious — no chalkboard equations, no framed portraits — we researched who these figures actually were: their favorite colors, their pastimes, the textures and tones that felt true to their personalities. That research became the palette and pattern language for each room, from cool blue-and-green botanicals to saturated reds and jewel-toned art deco wallpaper. That same spirit of discovery was meant to carry through to the property’s centerpiece: the design plan called for a Timothy Oulton Apollo-inspired piece as a nod to the space age alongside the physicists honored down the hall.

This boutique hotel interior design project reflects our studio’s belief that hospitality spaces should feel like they belong somewhere specific, not everywhere at once. Every detail here has a reason behind it — architecture, history, and story woven into the interior rather than layered on top of it.
